The Hong Kong Impaired Golfers Association (HKIGA), previously named the Asia Impaired Golfers Associatio (AIGA), was a charity founded in 2012.  Inspired by the past six years of experience coaching visually impaired golfers, our head coach is a member of HKPGA, Mr. KM Liu has come to recognize the significant benefits that golf game can bring to his students.  Beyond improving technical competence, it also raises self-confidence to the blind golfers. And beyond self- improvements, it also brings the impaired and able golfers together which promotes mutual understanding and acceptance of both groups.

With the establishment of HKIGA, we now reach out to all physically challenged individuals who are interested in golf.  Besides expanding to a larger community, we also carry the ambition to bring up the golf skills of our members to a competitive level in international level.

Currently, our organization includes coaches, volunteers, physically and mentally challenged members, youngsters with impaired parents, and normal golfers.  We host training activities such as weekly driving range practice, monthly chip/putt practices, 9 or 18 holes play every 3 month, ad-hoc workshops and yearly tournament. Selected members will be arranged to compete in international events.”
